On 6 December 2025, the autumn edition of the Festival of Lamentation returns to Soveria Mannelli (CZ), an event dedicated to stories of women, resistance and disobedience. The day, scheduled at the Officina della Cultura e della Creatività, combines debates, lectures, theatrical performances and moments of conviviality, transforming lament from an individual experience into a collective and political gesture.
It begins at 5:30 p.m. with a lecture by Pastor Giuseppina Bagnato, 'Travelling with the women of Jesus' genealogy', a story of the female figures in the Bible who subverted the logic of power. At 6:30 pm, a dialogue between Chiara Tagliaferri and Giulia Blasi, moderated by Benedetta Tomarchio, explores what it means to be a feminist today, between self-determination, civil disobedience and collective aspirations. The evening concludes at 9:30 pm with the show "Alienante" by Francesca Ritrovato, accompanied by live music by Fabio Macagnino. Set among the medical records of the former mental hospital in Girifalco, the show tells the stories of women who were unjustly interned, transforming memory, loneliness and suffering into a journey of empathy and reflection.
