Autumn Festival | Don’t Forget to Fly - Remo Anzovino

Coinciding with the release of his extraordinary new album Don't Forget to Fly (Believe International), the first completely solo piano album, six years after Nocturne - which has surpassed 17 million streams on Spotify alone - composer and pianist Remo Anzovino arrives in Catanzaro for the first time with a project that translates the dream and need of human beings to fly into pure sound.

Anzovino, considered to be one of the most original and influential piano composers around, sets his new work precisely on Monte Ceceri in Fiesole, in the places where legend has it that Leonardo Da Vinci performed his flight tests. He composes a modern suite in 12 movements with which he allows the listener to see all the dynamic images of the experience on the planet of air. Through this metaphor, Remo Anzovino invites the listener to search in everyday reality for the sky where one's dreams, one's desires, can live.

The live concert will propose in the first part the entire suite of about 40 minutes and will completely transport the audience into the dreamlike dimension of flight. In the second part, lasting about the same 40 minutes, the Master will perform all the hits extracted from the most important studio albums and soundtracks that have established him worldwide as one of the most original and influential composers and pianists of the contemporary instrumental scene.

The Autumn Festival will host Remo Anzovino at the Chiostro di San Giovanni (Catanzaro) on 15 September 2023.
