Family Fest Choir - The Puppet Factory - Zampalesta to the Other World

Through simple and fun games, participants will be made aware of the theme of recycling: lots of waste can be creatively reused to make any kind of object. Participants will give life, with imagination and originality, to everything they previously thought unusable (paper, plastic bottles, caps, envelopes, cans, boxes, toilet rolls). With the art of recycling, the workshop participants will be able to get involved as artists who are friends of the environment.

A performance by the Teatro della Maruca company of Crotone that is also an artistic-theatre workshop during which participants, through simple and entertaining games, will discover the thousand uses and reuses of the most common objects. "Zampalesta in the Other World" - puppet theatre: in a small town in warm Calabria, a wolf dog, reduced to chains by his master, escapes, spreading panic throughout the community. Zampalesta encounters the archetypes that have characterised the land of Calabria. In a succession of amusing scenes, we discover that Zampalesta is the symbol of fear towards the diversity or monstrosity of animals. It will be the final twist that will restore the right balance to the story. When the audience will understand that 'good manners' is not about chaining up a man or an animal but is about teaching self-respect for others and for nature.
