The Mediterranean University of Reggio Calabria is participating in the European Researchers' Night 2025, an event that promotes dialogue between scientific research and society, now in its twelfth edition and promoted by the European Commission.

On Friday 26 September, a series of events will take place in various locations around the university and the city, including ceremonies, lectures, workshops and exhibitions. Among the main events: the ceremony for the awarding of parchments to new PhD graduates in the Aula Magna Quistelli, a performance by the Orchestra del Liceo Musicale T. Gulli, and a lecture by Dario Lo Bosco, professor at Mediterranea and CEO of Italferr. At Palazzo Zani, Claudio Cordova's book "Socialised Crime. The Mafia on Social Networks. From Notes to Posts". On the Lungomare Falcomatà, from 6 p.m., visitors will be able to view the photographic exhibition "LABS. Laboratories in the City", the stands "Change: how science improves life" with PNRR projects, the NOEL laboratory with research experiences on the sea, and a performance by the university's musical ensemble.

On Monday 29 September, other activities will take place in the university departments: the naming of the Chemistry Laboratory after Prof. Rosario Pietropaolo, the opening of the laboratories to students and citizens for live experiments, diagnostic demonstrations and tree climbing in the Villa Comunale's tree heritage, and, in the evening, the screening of the film "The Right to Count" at the Sala Cineforum Ateneo, in collaboration with the Circolo del Cinema Charlie Chaplin.
