Culture and Identity in Varapodio

Two events in Varapodio in Piazza San Nicola:

Tuesday 22 August 2023 - 9.00 pm - "The Night of the Giants"

A catering of 8 pairs of giants. Each group will be made up of bearers, "gigantari", drummers, tambourines and bass drum players, "tamburinari" and giants who will offer an exhilarating show.

Thursday 24 August 2023 - 9.00 pm "Calabria and Folklore"

2 folk groups made up of locally renowned professionals will perform with a musical complex that will play live, with accordions, guitars, tambourine, castanets, cymbals, triccheballacche, parading through the town streets.
