The 2026 Caulonia Carnival is set to bring the area to life with two days dedicated to tradition, creativity and community participation.
On Saturday 21 February, Caulonia Centro will host the grand allegorical parade, the most eagerly awaited event of the carnival. The parade will depart from Piazza Municipio at 3:30pm, with floats travelling through the streets of the village. Then, at 5.30pm in Piazza Mese, the "Bailo do Carnival" festival will be held, featuring music, shows and entertainment.
The following day, Sunday 22 February, the celebrations will continue in Caulonia Marina. The parade will start from Piazzale della Pace at 10:00 a.m., and at 11:00 a.m. in Piazza Bottari there will be a masked parade of four-legged friends and a children's parade, with prizes for the best costumes. In the afternoon, the celebrations will continue in Placanica and the surrounding area.
These two days will bring together the energy and tradition of Carnival, transforming Caulonia and its hamlets into one big celebration.
