From February 12 to 17 and February 21 to 22, 2026, Palmi will host the 42nd edition of the Ottava di Carnevale della Piana, one of Calabria's most deeply established and popular carnival events. The event enlivens the area with an eight-day program offering a rich calendar of events designed to involve residents and visitors in a festive and convivial atmosphere.
The Palmi Carnival is a significant event in the panorama of Calabrian folk traditions, combining spectacle, creativity, and collective participation. The event includes parades of allegorical floats and masked groups, musical and theatrical performances, creative workshops, and activities for children, creating a festive atmosphere that involves the entire community.
