On 24 October 2025, at 9 p.m., the Politeama Theatre in Catanzaro will host the national premiere of "Heroes – Tribute to David Bowie", a concert-event that combines the world of jazz with the visionary universe of one of the most beloved icons of contemporary music.
The star of the evening is Paolo Fresu, one of the most internationally acclaimed trumpeters and flugelhorn players, capable of transforming every note into pure emotion. He will be accompanied by an exceptional ensemble: Petra Magoni on vocals, Filippo Vignato on trombone and electronics, Francesco Diodati on guitar, Francesco Ponticelli on double bass and electric bass, and Christian Meyer on drums.
Some of the most intense pages of Bowie's production will come to life on stage, from Life on Mars to This is not America, from Space Oddity to When I live my dreams, reinterpreted with jazz sensibility and great creative energy.
