Autumn Festival | Carmen Consoli - Trio Live

It is certainly one of the most eagerly awaited events of this 20th Autumn Festival. In a programme dedicated to love, the Sicilian singer Carmen Consoli, an eclectic artist with a thousand musical souls, could not be absent. She will arrive at the Politeama Theatre (Catanzaro) with her trio formation for a live performance with intimate atmospheres, to give the public moments of surprising intensity, proposing her most famous songs, such as "Amore di plastica", "Confusa e felice", "Contessa miseria", "In bianco e nero", to name but a few.

Indeed, there is no doubt about the Catanian singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, who has been able and continues to collect record after record in her palmares. Carmen Consoli was in fact the first Italian artist to tread the stage at the Olympic Stadium in Rome, as well as the only Italian to participate in the celebrations organised in Ethiopia for the anniversary of Bob Marley's death. 

The singer has also performed as a headliner in Central Park and scored three sold-out shows in a row in New York; she founded her own independent record label, Narciso Records, was inspired by Giovanni Verga and mythology, and brought foreign languages such as Arabic and French into her songs. She was the first woman in the long history of Club Tenco to win the Targa Tenco as Best Album of the Year with "Elettra". She was also appointed Goodwill Ambassador for Unicef and Ambassador for Telefono Rosa, and won the Amnesty Italia award for the song "Mio zio".
