AMA Calabria - Lamezia Terme Theatre Season

The indissoluble bond between AMA Calabria and the city of Lamezia Terme is strengthened through the renowned theatre season, confirmed as one of the leading events in the regional programme of shows. Art, declined in its many forms, including theatre, music and dance, is brought to the stage by nationally and internationally renowned professionals. A season designed to satisfy the different tastes of the public, confirming AMA Calabria's vocation to celebrate art in all its facets.

The programme, consisting of 14 shows at the Grandinetti Theatre for the 2023/2024 season, offers a wide variety of titles and high quality performers. The season's debut is "Uomo e galantuomo", the first comedy by Edoardo De Filippo interpreted by specialists of Neapolitan theatre; this is followed by the show "Note a Margine" featuring Oscar winner Nicola Piovani. November sees the shows "Tre uomini e una culla" and "Coppia Aperta quasi spalancata". December is the multidisciplinary month with "Romeo and Juliet" performed by the Ballet of Rome and the great musical show entrusted to one of the most important choirs in America, the "Virginia State Gospel Choir". The revival in 2024 starts with the legendary "The Nutcracker" performed by the Moscow Ballet followed by "Falstaff at Windsor". Also in February, the irresistible comedy of Ale and Franz with the show "Comincium" and the great Pirandellian theatre tradition with "Così È (se vi pare)". In March, "Le verdi colline dell'Africa" and "Storia di una Capinera" by Giovanni Verga. In April the great Max Giusti with his "Bollicine" and in May the conclusion of the appointments with "Il Caso Jekyll".
