Design and archaeology in Locri: a dialogue between past and present

From 6 December 2025 to 9 January 2026, Palazzo Nieddu in Locri will host the exhibition "Alessandro Loschiavo designer. Absolute Daily", dedicated to the famous Roman designer of Locrian origin. The exhibition, curated by Marò d'Agostino, celebrates Loschiavo's artistic production and brings his creations for everyday use into dialogue with archaeological finds from Locri Epizefiri, such as ceramics and domestic utensils, creating a bridge between history and contemporaneity.
The exhibition, which opened on 6 December at 5.30 p.m. with a conference at the 'Gaudio Incorpora' Municipal Library, offers the public a unique opportunity to discover the work of an artist who has left an international mark on design, with works in museums and collections in Europe, Asia and the United States. During the meeting, curators and experts will guide visitors on a journey of discovery through Loschiavo's creative process and his dialogue with the historical roots of Calabria.
