Bishops' Gate

Historical building
Bishops' Gate (also called "the Meridian") maybe was built in the sixteenth century, in adherence to the Cathedral. The Gate, equipped with inscriptions, paintings and Episcopal crest on top, was the final destination of the long ride of every new Bishop entering the city, starting originally from St. Michael's Church (now St. Martin), located in the old town.
