Shooting of the film "Il mio posto è qui" begins in Gerace

After the great success of Jovanotti's "Alla salute" music video in Gerace, the town is back in the limelight.

Gerace - one of the Most Beautiful Villages in Italy - becomes the set of the film 'Il mio posto è qui" (My Place is Here), written and co-directed by Cristiano Bortone and Daniela Porto; she is also the author of the novel of the same name from which the subject is taken and soon to be published by Sperling & Kupfer. The film is produced by Orisa Produzioni, with the support of Calabria Film Commission Foundation.

The film, set in rural Calabria in the 1940s, tells the story of the meeting between Marta and Lorenzo, a deep friendship that challenges prejudice and leads the woman to emancipate herself and fight to find her place in the world. The protagonists of "Il mio posto è qui" are Ludovica Martino, very young but already a popular face, and Marco Leonardi, an actor with many years of film experience.

Filming will continue for several weeks between Calabria and Apulia.
