MAIDA 4.0 the social role of women in the educating community, this was the main theme of the meeting held at the #PEP Educational Pole in Maida (Catanzaro).

For the occasion, the Cda Calabria Odv - regional network Listening to Anti-Violence and Fragility - launched the free course on digital journalism and news construction workshop for the enhancement of the territory. Among the aims of the initiative is the convergence of different ongoing projects, in order to rethink at different levels the role that women can play in the game of innovation and new technologies.

15 girls (aged 18 to 22) have been selected for the course. They have already started analysis and elaboration work on a text aimed at young women who want to do business, who plan, design, communicate new technologies, services and products. Listen, develop, transform: three key words, nine points to tell what can be done at each stage of an innovation project to integrate a gender-sensitive, intersectionality-oriented perspective.

Meetings with the students of the Maida State Comprehensive Institute are scheduled for the next few days: Monday 11 in Maida, Thursday 14 in Vena di Maida and Friday 15 in San Pietro a Maida from 9.30 to 11.00 a.m. in the presence of the school headmaster, Prof. Sabrina Grande, and the president of the Calabria Odv Cda Graziella Catozza; lawyers Caterina Berlingieri and Maria Berlingeri will also participate. The well-known professionals will present the contest on female entrepreneurship, equal opportunities and study choices with a discussion on the film of the story of Joy Mangano, the inventor of the mop, one of America's most successful female entrepreneurs.

The #8March2024 is an important date to reflect on the relationship between women and work, to think about the challenges of the present with an eye to the future. But 8March must continue, gender equality must be talked about all year round.
