On Saturday 25 October 2025, Luzzi will be decked out in red for the latest edition of the Red Night, an event dedicated to Grupariata, the village's traditional red focaccia bread, a true symbol of its culinary identity.
Organised by the Re-Genesis Thebae Association, the event will enliven the town centre with food and wine stands, musical performances and entertainment for children, offering residents and visitors a journey through flavours and traditions.
The highlight of the evening will be the culinary competition to award the best Grupariata, judged by a special panel. Prepared with peeled tomatoes and chilli peppers in the dough and stuffed with anchovies and tomatoes, this focaccia is a true gastronomic treasure, once made only on special occasions.
