An appointment that renews Guardavalle's Christmas tradition, transforming it into an evening of great music and culture to celebrate the arrival of the New Year.
The splendid Mother Church will be the setting for the Gran Galà Lirico Sinfonico on 2 January 2025, an extraordinary event that is part of the continuity of the cultural project Borgo in Opera, establishing itself as one of the most prestigious appointments in the region.
From the operatic repertoire of Verdi, Puccini, Mascagni and Donizetti, through the timeless melodies of Neapolitan songs such as ‘O Sole Mio’ and ‘Torna a Surriento’, to the compositions of Strauss, Tchaikovsky, Morricone and traditional Christmas songs.
At the end of the concert, the audience will be invited to a toast of good wishes for the New Year in the charming little square in front of the church.
