A meeting of two great master who will dialogue without a net on the common ground of improvisation, with other possible surprises or solutions in the alchemic understanding that unites them. Irresistible, physical, mimicry, Stefano Bollani plays with his whole body, in his intention to play and re-invent himself through an omnivorous vision of music. The pianist, born in Milan but Tuscan by adoption, has now conquered not only international concert halls, but also the most demanding palates, thanks to valuable recordings published by reference labels, including Ecm, Act, Label Bleu, Verve, Decca, VVJ and Venus, sharing the stage with giants of the calibre of Enrico Rava, Chick Corea, Egberto Gismonti, Gato Barbieri, Riccardo Chailly, Bill Frisell and Caetano Veloso among many others. Trilok Gurtu is one of the greatest protagonists in the history of percussion, capable of fusing Western and Indian technique to develop an innovative style and sound, such as to place him alongside some of the supreme protagonists of the world jazz elite, including Pat Metheny, Dave Holland, Jan Garbarek, Don Cherry and Joe Zawinul, just to name a few.
