Serrastretta Chestnut Festival

On 1 November 2025, the village of Angoli, a hamlet of Serrastretta, will be transformed into a lively stage of flavours, music and culture with the 34th edition of the historic Chestnut Festival. One of the most eagerly awaited events in the Reventino area, organised by the Tommaso Mazzei cultural and theatrical association, which celebrates autumn and its excellence with passion and authenticity every year.

The day will begin at 5 pm with the conference 'Chestnuts beyond taste: between territory and food health', dedicated to promoting this fruit, symbol of the Calabrian mountains, and protecting the chestnut groves of Reventino. Following this, from 6 pm, the opening of the food stands will enliven the streets of the village with roasted chestnuts, typical dishes and traditional recipes: pasta with chestnut flour, morzello, homemade fried foods, porchetta sandwiches, chestnut ice cream and the inevitable artistic cake that will bring the evening to a sweet close.

There will also be musical entertainment with Antonio Fazio on the accordion, The Giants of Vibo Marina and the young people of Note Popolari, for a festival that combines flavours and traditions in an authentic and convivial atmosphere.
