Sant'Agata di Esaro - Borgo dei Saperi e del Gusto

"Sant'Agata di Esaro - Borgo dei Saperi e del Gusto" is an event that involves citizens and tourists in the discovery of the village's naturalistic, historical and food and wine beauties. Guided visits to the "Grotta della Monaca" mining site - one of the oldest and best-preserved archaeological sites in Europe -, visits to the Historical Museum of Knowledge and Taste - where the history of local origins and crafts can be discovered -, cooking workshops for children and tastings of the typical Santagata product "Polpetta di Maruggio" (Maruggio meatball) are planned. A real tour of discovery of Sant'Agata di Esaro that will end with a musical performance in Piazza Montalto by Calabrian artist Santino Cardamone.
