Two weeks from 21 August to 1 September 2023 full of events with identity and community action. A project within the "Tourism of Roots" of which Brognaturo is the lead municipality, articulated to find a new dimension to "staying" understood as the will, the choice to live the territory.

For the first time, the municipality of Brognaturo (VV) will host the festival of arts and sustainable choices promoted every year by the Calliope Sguardo d'Arte group and its founder, Dr. Maria De Giorgio. The festival entitled "'ntramenti - Terra chi chiama" represents the soul, the bond and the synergy between the municipality of Brognaturo and the "Gruppo Calliope Sguardo d'Arte".

At the centre of the event are some strong identity themes that are particularly in line with the country's migration history: roots, the relationship between past and future, the legacy of tradition and creativity as a language capable of emancipating and spreading awareness.

Below follows the programme:

Start on 21 August with "Welcome back to migrants" at 6 pm

From 22 to 25 August start of workshops on old crafts.
- Sewing and embroidery workshop; (Piazza Calvario/ Timpuni)
- Bread and pitta workshop; (Via Annunziata Square)
- Handicraft workshop; (Piazza via Annunziata)

26 August exhibition of sculpture and traditions of Brognaccio at Ex Convegno dell'Annunziata starting at 10 am, organised by sculptor and artist Zangari Giuseppe and artist Cosimo Bertucci

27 August giant puppet show of identity and community character at Piazza del Popolo, 6.30 p.m.

On 28 August, it starts with a yoga class in the verdant woods of the Serre area. In the afternoon, an appointment with "The Legacy of Tradition", a street art workshop curated by artist Antonio Burgello that will see the community united in creating a mural using the dialect idiom. In the evening, the focus will be on the cuisine of Brognatia with the live cooking show by Sabrina Bianco, winner of the PIZZAIOLO EMERGENTE 2021 award assigned by Gambero Rosso and with the support of Maccheroni Chef Academy. To follow "And the moon knocked": guided observation of the moon between science, myths and legends by Eleonora Confalonieri, nature guide.

On Tuesday 29 August, in the morning, an outdoor Pilates lesson by teacher Siria Mallamo and in the afternoon, the "TRAME DI VITE" workshop. The public will be invited to relate the graphic works of the Iranian art collective Rever Art with a selection of texts extracted from letters written by some emigrants from Brognaturo. Space will also be given to poetry with "ARMONIE DELL'ANIMA", a performance by Biagio Accardi in which the author will present his new text. The evening is dedicated to oenology and getting to know the labels of the Comerci and Artese wineries, the female excellences of Calabria. This will be followed by wine tasting and a musical reading from the novel "Il figlio del mare" by Eliana Iorfida, writer and author of the text, and Gaspare Tancredi, musician.

Wednesday afternoon, 30 August, space will be given to the encounter between art and philosophy with the workshop ''LANGUAGE AND ROOTS'', dedicated to the theme of emigration, between the memory of the country left behind and that of the new reality encountered, curated by Dr. De Giorgio and Dr. Perin of Calliope Sguardo d'Arte. This will be followed by the public performance "Like stitched tears" by visual artist Barbara Ranieri. In the evening concert PopolarMente by Règium Sax Quartet, at the former convent of the Annunziata and the usual TALK WITH THE ARTISTS. During this multi-voice interview with the Festival's guest artists, the site-specific works created for the citizens of Brognaturo and created during the festival will be unveiled, and the winning handicraft work of the first edition of the "Di mano in mano" contest will be presented to the public.

On Thursday evening, 1 September, the festival will bid farewell to its audience with the vernacular theatre show "Magherìa e magu allu barra di Maiu", organised by the Pro Loco and Brognaturo nel cuore.

From 28 to 30 August 2023, live painting by the festival's guest artists: Marco Ronda (aka Bislak), Leonardo Cannistrà, Enrico Carnevale (aka SANO).

On the occasion of the first edition of the Festival ''nTramenti Terra chi chiama'', the town of Brognaturo (VV) will be enriched by the creativity of minds - from Calabria and elsewhere - who will exhibit their works along the streets of the historic centre: Emily Gallè, photographer, Michele Zaffino, photographer, Rever Art Team, an Iranian art collective.
