Festival d'Autunno | Homage to Puccini, Lyrical Gala

On Friday 25 October 2024, at 6 p.m., in the evocative setting of the S. Annunziata Church in Santa Caterina dello Ionio (village), a prestigious Opera Gala Homage to Giacomo Puccini will be held on the occasion of the centenary of his death (1858-1924).

The event, a national premiere and produced by the Festival, will celebrate the great composer's immense musical legacy with a programme featuring performances of his most famous arias from operas such as ‘Turandot’, ‘Bohème’, ‘Madama Butterfly’ and ‘Tosca’. The marvellous interpretations will be entrusted to soprano Giorgia Teodoro and tenor Alessandro D'Acrissa, accompanied by the Fonè trio, formed by Sabina Fedele (viola), Giuseppe Arnaboldi (violin) and Giovanni Mazzuca (piano), who also edited the transcriptions of the music.
