Feast in honour of St Barbara

Everything is ready for the feast of Saint Barbara. From Friday 22 to Sunday 24 September, the town of Piane Crati is preparing to celebrate its patron saint, who is also the patron saint of bomb disposal experts, artillerymen, miners, and fire fighters. This recurring event for the town, which over the three days welcomes numerous believers, includes - in addition to solemn moments of prayer - music and entertainment.
