Feast in honour of Our Lady of the Afflicted

The feast of Our Lady of the Afflicted, celebrated on the third Saturday of September, is the major expression of religious devotion celebrated by the community of San Procopio. It is an attraction for emigrant citizens who return to the village for the special festivity.

In addition to the religious festivities (the night vigil on Friday 15, the procession on Saturday), there will be an ethno-folk music performance by the "Kalavrìa" art and culture association at 9.30 p.m. in Piazza Mons. Bruno Occhiuto, while in the morning and for the procession, the "Antonio Carbone" band from Melicuccà will be present in the streets of the town.
