Culture Week

As part of the traditional festivities of Our Lady of Sorrows, for the past three years the Festival Committee and the municipal administration have organised a week of cultural reflection involving public and private institutions and associations in the area.

Now in its third year, Culture Week has become the centrepiece of the civil celebrations, a link between the expression of a faith rooted in Christ that finds its expression in the vast and ancient culture present in the area.

This year's Culture Week will be held from 10 to 17 September with various activities including: conferences, book presentations, Antonio Affidato's exhibition in the evocative Palazzo Bottari, extraordinary openings of museums and places of interest, concerts, shows, and the manifestation of popular piety that keeps faith with Our Lady of Sorrows like the roots of a well-planted tree resist the ravages of time.
