Catoja in festa

From 29 September to 6 October 2024, Benestare will host the 15th edition of Catoja in Festa, a unique event that pays homage to the traditions and popular culture of the Locride area. This festival involves the entire village, with a series of events celebrating the historic chalk houses, a symbol of the village's architectural and cultural identity.

For eight days, visitors and locals alike will be able to immerse themselves in a rich programme that combines art, music, traditional cuisine and historical memory, offering a journey through the authentic flavours and popular traditions of the rural world. Catoists and local partners will guide the public in the discovery of these ancient traditions, creating an unforgettable sensory and cultural experience.

During the event, the streets of the historic centre will come alive with flavours, scents and sounds, with gastronomic specialities as the stars of the festival, accompanied by musical performances celebrating the cultural vitality of the area. The chalk houses, characteristic of the urban reality of Benestare, will be at the centre of this route, offering a suggestive setting for all the events scheduled.
