Art and flavours of Caulonia's Christmas tradition

The planned events aim to properly valorise and promote the Christmas traditions of the community of Caulonia, in its historical locations of the historic centre and the seaside hamlet. Starting on Saint Lucy's Day, guided visits will be organised to the historical centre, characterised by the presence of several churches, noble palaces, city gates, and a Byzantine fresco that was recently restored. There will also be a conference and a festival featuring typical and traditional local food products and Christmas festivity sweets, book presentations and an innovative workshop on the identity tradition of papier-mâché, as a typical artistic production of the territory, without forgetting the evocation of the Tarantella tradition, which in Caulonia finds its maximum sublimation at regional level, characterising itself as one of the most important cultural attractions.
