Antonio Grosso & About Tarantella

With an evening that promises all the intensity of a traditional instrument, the 'International Accordion Festival' of San Vincenzo La Costa proposes, on the evening of Saturday 3 August 2024 at 9.30 p.m., in Piazza Municipio, the show of Antonio Grosso & About Tarantella. A quartet of diatonic accordion, piano, electric bass and drums in a vigorous show of pizzica, taranta and tammurriata.

Antonio Grosso always guarantees high-energy performances, but also delicate pieces capable of taking the audience on a journey into distant stories and atmospheres. His very long training has made him an acclaimed chromatic and diatonic accordionist in Italy, so much so that he has won numerous awards at national level, such as, above all, the AMISAD (Associazione Musicale Italiana Strumenti ad Ancia Diatonici) and AMISAL (Associazione Musicale Italiana Strumenti ad Ancia Libera) awards. His pieces stand out for their complexity and inspiration, being lovingly contaminated by Argentinian and French music. He has performed in live concerts in many countries around the world and this has resulted in his pieces gaining international acclaim and being performed now by many musicians.
