One of the most eagerly awaited events of the Calabrian summer returns again this year: on 21 July 2025, San Lucido will be transformed into an explosion of energy with “A Vulata”, the San Lucido Summer Carnival, an event that combines tradition, folklore and fun on the shores of the Tyrrhenian Sea.
Now a symbolic festival for the area, “A Vulata” attracts hundreds of participants every year from all over Calabria and beyond. The heart of the event is the collective dip in the sea wearing all kinds of clothes, a symbolic gesture that evokes ancient legends and officially kicks off the celebrations. The evening continues with a grand parade of allegorical floats, live music, shows and entertainment for all ages, through the streets of the town centre and along the seafront, in an atmosphere of overwhelming festivity.
The patroness of the 2025 edition will be Francesca Tocca, the famous dancer from Maria De Filippi's Amici programme, ready to bring her charisma and talent to a night that promises magic, dance and lots of fun.
