In the heart of the Sila National Park, the mountain hamlet of Camigliatello Silano (Municipality of Spezzano della Sila) offers the possibility of using a ski and ski-lift facility consisting of the modern ‘’Tasso-Monte Curcio‘’ cableway (1380 m above sea level), with a transport capacity of 1800 people per hour. Camigliatello Silano has 2 alpine ski runs and 1 cross-country ski run: the first two, blue and red, cover a total distance of 4.3 km. 

In the valley there is the School Course, which consists of a 52 m long conveyor belt at the disposal of ski schools, beginners and children. In the surrounding area there are other sports facilities (tennis, bowling, playground). Camigliatello Silano welcomes skiers in the warm atmosphere of its characteristic hotels, equipped with spas and wellness centres overlooking the Sila forests and Lake Cecita. Skiers can take advantage of an integrated ski pass for the nearby ski resort of Lorica.

Lorica (CS)

Another renowned ski resort in Sila is Lorica (between the municipalities of San Giovanni in Fiore and Casali del Manco). At an altitude of 1,314 m, the Lorica ski lift offers the ‘’Monte Botte Donato‘’ cable car, which leads to the summit of Sila Grande with a capacity of 1,500 people in an hour, as well as the ‘’Cavaliere‘’ chairlift and the ‘’Valle dell'Inferno‘’ ski lift.

Skiing in Calabria in Lorica means enjoying 20 km of slopes for alpine skiing in the Blue, Red and Black categories and 40 km of slopes for cross-country skiing, in addition to the possibility of snowboarding. Palumbosila (KR)

If you want to ski in Calabria on the Crotone side, you can rely on the beauty of Palumbosila (Municipality of Cotronei), a historic ski resort on the slopes of Monte Gariglione (1765 m) with an altitude of 1640 on the Cima Bianca peak. The ski lift system offers 2 chairlifts and 1 ski lift serving 10 slopes between Red and Blue for alpine skiing, with programmed snow and night lighting for 2 km. The longest slope is the Panoramica (2 km long Blue slope).

There is also a snow park and a School Course with 1 carpet of 123 m, an artificial bobsleigh run, a toubing run and a 123 m synthetic summer ski run. Here, too, the landscape is characterised by the suggestive lake flora and fauna of Lake Ampollino, around which huts and cosy refuges are arranged, with all the services of refreshment and wellness.

Gambarie d’Aspromonte (RC)

Those who wish to ski in Calabria ‘’sea view‘’ can do so in the heart of the Aspromonte National Park, in the Gambarie d'Aspromonte ski resort (municipality of Santo Stefano d'Aspromonte), where the ski slopes look out over the Strait of Messina and Mount Etna. The Gambarie ski resort is served by 4 chairlifts and 1 ski lift that ascend Mount Scirocco (1660 m) and Mount Nardello, connecting them directly to the town centre. The alpine ski slopes cater for all tastes: 1 Black, 3 Red and 1 Blue wind along suggestive panoramic points.
