Port of Vibo Marina (Santa Venere)

Point of interest
Regione Calabria
The Port of Vibo Marina extends in the Marina area of Vibo Valentia, a place once called Santa Venere, in the southern part of the Gulf of S. Eufemia. Protected to the west by an elbow pier and to the east by a fully docked two-armed pier (General Malta and Molo Cortese), the Port of Vibo has both tourist and commercial functions: linked to the production activities of the Vibo Valentia area (distribution of fuel and fish products) and to tourist connections to and from the Aeolian Islands. It is home to Italy's largest Harbour and Coast Guard, directly connected to the training and educational activities of the important Nautical Institute of Vibo Valentia. The Port of Vibo Marina is frequented in all seasons, but especially in the summer, by pleasure boats that take advantage of essential services (reception and refuelling). The Port of Vibo is the perfect place from which to depart for a mini-cruise to the Aeolian Islands or a sailing tour of the beautiful Costa degli Dei on the Calabrian Tyrrhenian Sea.
