The Museum of Marine Biology and Paleontology of Reggio Calabria was born as a cultural association that manages and owns and scientific materials contained in the Natural History Museum, where there is the collection of Marine Biology and Paleontology "Angelo Vazzana". The collection is the result of over thirty years of professional activity that documents the animal and plant life of the area and the marine environment.
The setting is a time to teaching museum and is divided into two sections: one of Paleontology, which includes the fossil in evolutionary order; and that of "Marine Biology", with beings currently living in the sea. The fossils come from the terraces of ancient marine environments, while the finds and the current images are from the Calabrian coast of the Strait of Messina.
