Longobardi Marina Beach

It has an authentic beauty, without frills. Uncontaminated by fads and trends. The sea is clean, the seabed slopes rapidly towards the open sea, and there is a long beach, mostly free and uncrowded. This is Longobardi Marina, a small tourist resort located on the Tyrrhenian coast of Cosenza which, like other towns on the coast, has the peculiarity of being separated from the historic centre, which is located on the hill. Longobardi beach is characterised by fine sand and few pebbles and can be accessed directly as it is located close to the seafront. It is ideal for families who can spend relaxing days here, enjoying the sea and the cool air after sunset.

As was customary until a few decades ago, the free beach in Longobardi is a place to be enjoyed from the early morning until late at night. Holidaymakers gather under their beach umbrellas to share a holiday that follows the slow pace of the South. It consists of chatting, playing cards, long swims, bocce or beach volleyball challenges. There is no shortage of beach establishments offering entertainment, music and aperitifs, especially for younger visitors. The beach stretches for about 2 km and offers an enchanting landscape of crystal clear waters with soft, golden white sand. The area adjacent to the beach is home to bars, restaurants, pizzerias and small shops.
