Bova Marina Beach

Among the most beautiful stretches of sea in the Costa dei Gelsomini Regional Marine Park, on the Ionian coast in the province of Reggio Calabria, is undoubtedly Bova Marina Beach, in the municipality of the same name. Bova Marina Beach has been awarded the Green Flag and is therefore 'child-friendly'. Among the sights not to be missed near Bova Marina Beach is the path that leads through the rocks to the chapel with the Statue of the Madonna del Mare, a breathtaking viewpoint.

Bova Marina Beach, easily accessible from the Ionica State Road 106 towards Reggio Calabria, is not the only attraction in the municipality of Bova Marina, which has an archaeological link with the first Jewish communities in Calabria, as demonstrated by the remains of the Synagogue, one of the oldest in the Mediterranean, which can be visited inside the ArcheoDeri Archaeological Park.
