‘’Calabria Straordinaria: tourism and innovation‘’: kicking off the cycle of meetings dedicated to the tourism sector, at the service of local authorities and economic operators. A series of events created with the intention of establishing new collaborations with stakeholders in the various territories and sharing with them, data, useful information and new digital tools, in order to offer an optimal experience to visitors and a well-structured organisation to all those operating in the tourism sector in Calabria. A valuable opportunity for discussion, useful to identify synergies between institutions and economic operators, to build together an increasingly competitive and interconnected tourism system. Involving and listening to the territories, sharing innovations and strategies useful for the tourism sector and the future development of the regional tourism industry. An opportunity to open a debate on the governance of Calabrian destinations, presenting operational models and innovative tools useful for facilitating the work and organisation of bodies and operators in the area. A governance that listens to the territories and all those who as suppliers of products and services build the regional tourism system with quality proposals. Innovative digital tools, to better organise the tourism offer, guaranteeing an excellent travel experience and better communicating the image of Destination Calabria.

The Region Calabria, with a view to increasing the use of information dedicated to stakeholders and economic operators, is launching a series of meetings dedicated to new strategic opportunities for enhancement and promotion. Specifically, the meetings, which will be held in various locations throughout Calabria, will be aimed at illustrating the technical functioning and the opportunities for using new digital tools, recently developed, to favour the shared promotion of Destination Calabria. At the centre of the meetings, the presentation of the new ‘’Operators Area‘’ on the portal Calabria Straordinaria, as a tool for the promotion of the tourist offer of the Region Calabria and all the useful information on how to register and how to upload content on the platform. The implementation of the Calabria Straordinaria portal and the new digital services for monitoring and promoting the different realities present in the territories will be available free of charge to all sector operators.

The spaces dedicated to stakeholders and suppliers of products and services, on the Calabria Straordinaria portal, will be populated with content, at the service of tourists and visitors, who will be able to find all the information they need to build an extraordinary trip to Calabria in a quick and accessible manner, thanks to the precise and exhaustive information provided by the tourism operators themselves. The proposed events will also be an opportunity to present ‘’Ross1000‘’, software for tracking tourist movements and managing accommodation facilities in Calabria, an indispensable tool for monitoring tourist flows at different times of the year.

The meetings will be held at different venues, scheduled as follows: Cosenza 17 March at 10.30 am - Palazzo della Provincia, 17 March at 3.30 pm - Palazzo della Provincia Sala del Consiglio Catanzaro, 18 March at 10.30 am - Palazzo Corrado Alvaro Sala Perri - Reggio Calabria, 18 March at 3.30 pm - Palazzo Gagliardi Vibo Valentia, 19 March at 10.30 am - Sala del Consiglio Comunale - Crotone. The main objective of the cycle of meetings will be to present to bodies and economic operators in the tourism supply chain, the digital tools for a shared promotion of Destination Calabria and the many products and services made available by the sector. To strengthen the professional opportunities of the region's tourism enterprises by supporting their competitiveness and ensuring the development of the attractiveness of individual territories, thanks to the support of new digital technologies.
