Calabria Straordinaria conquers Norway

New year and new experience with Calabria Straordinaria in Norway for another important tourism marketing event. Great interest in the Region of Calabria's attractive proposals was registered at the Reiselivsmessen The Norwegian Travel Fair Oslo 2023, scheduled from 6 to 8 January. Three intense days of activities with the stand of the Calabria Region at the centre of interest of the many visitors. After the inaugural B2B event on 6 January, reserved for discussions with buyers, there followed meetings dedicated to operators and the public. The popularity thermometer of the Calabria Region's stand achieved a very good response on the influx of buyers and travellers. Here, in the area dedicated to the proposals of Calabria Straordinaria, there was an illustrious visit that will remain in the album of this stage, namely the visit of the Italian ambassador to Norway Stefano Nicoletti. The high diplomat spoke at length with Maria Antonella Cauteruccio, Director General of the Department of Tourism, Territorial Marketing and Mobility, who was present in Oslo with official Luca Fregola. A fruitful dialogue on the commercial potential of the Norwegian market for tourist destinations and Made in Calabria. Before taking his leave, Ambassador Nicoletti held a tasting of the 'nduja and bergamot marmalade, specialities of Calabria Straordinaria offered to the Norwegian public and much appreciated, so much so that the ambassador tweeted his appreciation as an exceptional testimonial. "The scents and flavours of the Region of Calabria are on show this weekend in Oslo," Stefano Nicoletti tweeted "Calabria Straordinaria is a unique experience that touches body and soul, which I talked about with DG Cauteruccio". And again, in another tweet, Italy's highest diplomatic representative in Norway, cited Calabria's delicious agri-food experience with the Tropea onion, liquorice from Rossano, olive oil and 'nduja, cheeses, citrus fruits with Reggio's bergamot, commenting that all this "makes Calabria a reference point in food and wine, a fantastic destination". Our region once again showcased abroad to arouse curiosity and garner praise for Calabria Straordinaria.
