Saturday 25 and Sunday 26 March 2023 sees the renewal of the appointment with the FAI Spring Days, the most important public event dedicated to Italy's cultural heritage and landscape. The event, now in its 31st edition, will offer the opportunity to discover and rediscover surprising treasures of art and nature, participating in free visits proposed by the Foundation's volunteers, most of which are usually inaccessible or little known.
The following sites in Calabria are open for the occasion:
- the Church of San Bernardino da Siena in Amantea (CS);
- the Surianolii Farm in Amantea (CS);
- Palazzo Carratelli in Amantea (CS) - the admission is reserved for FAI members only;
- the Giants' Train, a historic coach that will pass through the Giants of Sila (already a FAI asset since 2016) in Spezzano della Sila (CS);
- the Castle and Palatine Chapel of Caccuri (KR);
- the Capo Pellegrino Tower - Scifo Tower in Crotone;
- the "Alfonso Frangipane" Art Museum in Reggio Calabria;
- the Abbey of the Holy Trinity in the Archaeological Park of Mileto (VV);
- the State Archaeological Museum in Mileto (VV);
- the Diocesan Historical Archive in Mileto (VV) - the admission is only for FAI members;
- a tour to discover the cultural heritage of the city of San Ferdinando (RC);
- the Prefettour: a unique opportunity to enter the private flats of the Prefect of Catanzaro;
- Catanzaro Sottosopra (Catanzaro Upside Down): a walk up and down the city, from palaces to underground galleries;
- the Giants of Sila in Spezzano della Sila (CS).
