Visit to the Barone Macrì Oil Mill

A visit to the oil mill offers the opportunity to discover the secrets of olive oil production, although real-time processing can only be seen in the period between the end of October and January (which varies depending on the year) and with advance booking.

During the tour, the different stages of the production process will be illustrated: from the harvesting of the olives to their storage, up to their transformation into oil. Furthermore, it will be possible to understand the differences between modern processing systems and the traditional ones used in the past, to appreciate the evolution of this ancient art.

An instructive and engaging experience, perfect for those who wish to learn more about the world of olive oil and Calabrian agricultural culture.

Educational activities take place in the mornings, while the afternoons are dedicated to relaxation and fun in the farm's large green spaces. Around 16:30/17:00, guests can watch the milking of the cows, reaching the stables independently.

The programme is subject to weather conditions, as all activities take place outdoors. Participants are advised to wear comfortable clothing and shoes suitable for the occasion.
