Afternoon – Scilla, between sea and myth
Continue to Scilla and visit the picturesque village of Chianalea, known as the Little Venice of the South for its houses nestled on the rocks and narrow streets overlooking the sea. A picturesque walk will take us to the upper part of the village, with the belvedere of Piazza San Rocco, the church of the same name and the imposing Castello Ruffo, from which you can enjoy a spectacular view of the Strait.
Return in the evening to the villages of departure.
Curiosity - The myth of Scylla
According to legend, Scylla was a beautiful nymph who rejected the love of the sea god Glaucus. In revenge, the sorceress Circe transformed her into a monstrous creature with six canine heads and long tentacles, forcing her to take refuge among the rocks of the Strait. Since then, she has spread terror among sailors, together with Charybdis, creating the immortal myth that still fascinates visitors to these places today.
