Zafarana Fest

From 11 to 13 October 2024, the suggestive old town of Tortora is preparing to host a new edition of the Zafarana Fest, an event celebrating one of the territory's best-loved typical products: the Zafarana, a prized variety of local pepper.

The event, created with the aim of promoting the historical and cultural beauty of Tortora, will offer visitors the chance to discover the authentic flavours of tradition through tastings, workshops and convivial moments. During the festival, it will be possible to stroll through the narrow streets of the village, breathing in the genuine atmosphere of an area rich in history, and savouring typical dishes based on Zafarana, the undisputed protagonist of the event.

There will also be cultural events that will recount the importance of this product in the local food and wine culture, transforming the Zafarana Fest into a unique experience to get to know the most authentic Calabria.
