Zafarana Fest returns to fill the historic centre of Tortora with flavours and aromas for its 13th edition, scheduled for 10, 11 and 12 October 2025. This event is not just a food festival, but a true collective ritual that combines taste, memory and tradition.
The undisputed star of the show is Zafarana, the prized chilli pepper typical of the area, a symbol of local identity and culture. Around it, a journey comes to life that unites different generations: the experience of the elders, guardians of ancient knowledge, meets the curiosity of the younger generation in a dialogue that passes through the authentic flavours and stories of those who have always lived in and loved these places.
For three days, the village will be transformed into an open-air stage, with stands, tastings, workshops, music and shows paying tribute to the 'queen' of Tortora's traditions. An opportunity to rediscover the bonds that unite community, culture and cuisine, in the spirit of Calabrian authenticity and hospitality.
