Walk among the olive trees in Corigliano-Rossano

Sunday 26 October 2025 marks the return of the Walk among the Olive Trees, a national initiative promoted by the City of Oil Association involving over 150 Italian cities in a single day dedicated to discovering the olive-growing landscape and traditions linked to extra virgin olive oil.

The 2025 edition carries a message of profound symbolic value: "Let's cultivate peace". It is an invitation to promote solidarity and dialogue among peoples, starting from one of the most distinctive elements of the Mediterranean.

In Corigliano-Rossano, a city with a long history of olive growing, the day will begin at 9:45 a.m. with participants meeting at the Azienda Agricola Bio F.lli Renzo farm. At 10:00, the walk through the centuries-old olive trees and native varieties will begin, accompanied by stories and testimonials from the Club Trekking – Gruppo CAI Corigliano-Rossano. Along the way, participants will meet local producers, taste the new oil and take part in a guided tasting session. The day will end with a convivial moment organised by the Slow Food Magna Grecia – Pollino Convivium, to celebrate together the authentic taste and culture of Calabrian oil.
