On Tuesday 6 August 2025, amid the evocative natural geometry of the Cutro badlands, Voices from the Badlands returns, a festival that originated from the grassroots, grows with the energy of the community and feeds on the symbolic power of the landscape.
Organised by the Calanchi del Marchesato association, the festival is a celebration of participation, sharing and creativity. No institutional funding, just the commitment of those who live in, protect and love this land. An event that transforms nature into a stage and the journey into a story.
The programme begins at 5 p.m. with an excursion through the badlands of Località Le Forche, during which actor Carlo Gallo will perform an excerpt from his show “U Patre Ranne”. At 7.15 p.m., the sky will come alive with a spectacular drone show by Pianeta Droni, followed at 8.30 p.m. by the popular and contemporary sounds of the Salvatore Megna Trio, who will perform music from the South, combining rhythm and roots. The evening will conclude at 10:00 pm with Senduki Dub, who will perform live experimental electronic music that blends with the night-time landscape, creating a unique immersive experience. During the event, there will be a food & wine area offering local flavours, art exhibitions and an area dedicated to drones.
