Contemporary drama comes to life at Villa San Giovanni

The Primo Theatre in Villa San Giovanni inaugurates the 12th edition of its Theatre Season, a programme entirely dedicated to contemporary drama, with performances ranging from intense stories to irony, reflection and stand-up comedy.
The season opens on 25 and 26 October with 'Dora in avanti' by Domenico Loddo, starring Silvana Luppino and directed by Christian Maria Parisi. This will be followed on 8 and 9 November by 'Tiger Dad', written and directed by Rosario Palazzolo, with Salvatore Nocera. On 29 and 30 November, 'La vita sessuale di Guglielmo Sputacchiera', based on the novel by Alberto Ravasio, will be staged, with Daniele Brundu and Loriano Rasso. On 13 and 14 December, it will be the turn of 'Elisabetta e Limone' by Juan Rodolfo Wilcock, while the new year will begin on 11 and 12 January with 'La Cattiveria' by and starring Letizia Rita Amore and Giuseppe Rasco. The programme continues on 7 and 8 February with 'Caro Mimmuzzu Mia' by and starring Simona Epifani, followed by 'Miss Smmarco' by and starring Valentina Illuminati on 21 and 22 February. On 14 and 15 March, Silvio Barbiero brings Giovanni Testori's 'Edipus' to the stage, and the season closes on 18 and 19 April with 'Mai Fatto Sold Out' by and starring Marco Ceccotti, a stand-up comedy show.
