The Wine and Food Route

Lovers of good wine can walk along ‘The Road of Wine and Food’ in Verbicaro, in the province of Cosenza, the food and wine event that promotes the prized Verbicaro DOC wine with the possibility of pairing it with traditional local dishes.

Known for being among Calabria's ‘Wine Cities’, Verbicaro is one of the Cosenza areas that produce the famous Verbicaro DOC wine in its three types (red, white and rosé).

The ‘Vino e Sapori’ Association, established in 2013 as an all-female reality, is dedicated to the promotion and enhancement of traditional Verbicaro dishes and good wine, the pride of the community.

To promote this excellence, the association has for years organised a dedicated event, ‘’The Road of Wine and Food‘’ of Verbicaro, which, starting with wine, puts the best of the territory and its identity on the table: simple traditional mountain products.

2024 Programme

This year's ‘’The Road of Wine and Flavours‘’ provides a three-day programme full of goodness, tastings and side events that will animate the streets of Verbicaro's historic centre from 8 to 10 August, to the delight of wine tourism enthusiasts and ordinary visitors alike.

As always, the food and wine route acts as a link between food, art and culture, offering live music and performances by artists in a festive and engaging atmosphere every evening.

The event represents a unique opportunity to immerse oneself in the authentic flavours of Calabria and live an unforgettable experience of tradition, taste and fun.
