Laino Borgo is preparing to host the fifth edition of the "The Sounds of Laino" Festival, an annual event that celebrates Calabrian folk music and its most authentic roots.
On 11 October 2025, Piazzale della Repubblica will come alive with traditional sounds, songs and dances: an open invitation to everyone – musicians, dancers and enthusiasts – to experience together the joy of a festival that unites community and culture. The day will be enriched by tastings of typical local dishes, in a journey of taste and conviviality that will accompany the public until the evening concert by Davis Muccari, an artist who has made folk music his language and his way of life.
The festival will continue on 12 October with educational workshops dedicated to traditional instruments, organised by the Laino Bagpipers' Association and special guests. An opportunity to rediscover the value of oral tradition and the charm of ancient melodies.
