San Cosmo Albanese presents the first edition of the historical re-enactment The Serembiano Trail, an event designed to rediscover the figure of the Arbëreshë poet Zef Serembe and his human, poetic and spiritual journey. On Sunday 14 December 2025, the town will host a day dedicated to the culture and identity of the community, with moments that combine storytelling, in-depth analysis and local traditions.
The programme starts at 2.30 pm from Piazza Santuario with a historical procession animated by a travelling theatrical re-enactment that winds through the streets of the historic centre, reaches the Ponte Vecchio viewpoint and returns to Piazza della Libertà. At 6:00 pm, in the Municipal Auditorium, the conference Giuseppe Serembe and Arbëreshë Romanticism will take place, with presentations by scholars, institutional representatives and figures from the Arbëresh cultural world. During the event, there will also be food and wine stands dedicated to local traditions.
