The magic of St. Martin's Night returns to Montauro on Saturday 8 November 2025, with an edition that will transform the village into a grand journey through music, art, flavours and popular traditions. From 6 p.m., the streets and squares of the historic centre – Piazza del Popolo, Piazza San Pantaleone, Piazza Zanardelli and Piazza Rossi Milano – will become the stage for a widespread, authentic and engaging celebration.
The programme includes travelling performances with the Giants 'Mata and Grifone' from San Costantino Calabro, accordions, bagpipes and the Transalvante Orchestra. In Piazza Zanardelli, the Taranta Jonica concert will enliven the evening with rhythm and energy until late at night, while the traditional Ballo del Ciuccio will close the festival in a spirit of joy and sharing.
Along the way, there will be no shortage of typical Calabrian gastronomic specialities: fried cod fillets, porchetta, zeppole, tripe, caciocavallo impiccato, roasted chestnuts, meatballs, murinedi, sausage, arrosticini and new wine. There will also be space for local crafts, with fairs and art exhibitions, and a children's area in the Villa Comunale with games, sweets and merry-go-rounds.
