The Caves Tell Their Story: from Prehistory to the Present Day

On Friday 31 October 2025, the Caves of Sant'Angelo in Cassano all'Ionio will open their doors for a unique experience: "The Caves Tell Their Story: from Prehistory to the Present Day" invites visitors to explore the past in an engaging and original way.

At each underground junction, actors and guides will give voice to the ideal protagonists of different eras, from prehistory to the present day, transforming the caves into veritable stages of history and myth. Donna Marsilia, a symbolic figure of the Pollino folk tradition, will accompany the public through stories, legends and curiosities, creating a journey that combines archaeology, nature and local culture.
