On Saturday 30 August 2025, the historic centre of Tarsia will light up with the Night of Tarantarsia, a world music event that has been celebrating cultural fusion through the universal language of music for seventeen editions.

From African tribal percussion to reggae and ska vibes, from ancestral ethno/folk sounds to oriental atmospheres, the evening will be a sonic and visual journey intertwining traditions, identities and influences from all over the world.

On stage and in the streets, the hypnotic sounds of Mascarimirì, pioneers of pizzica contaminated by reggae, dub and electronica, will meet the energy of Moussa Africa Lab, for a rhythmic dialogue that combines ancestral drums and timeless melodies. This will be followed by the explosion of sounds from the Ottopiù Street Band, combining funk, Balkan and oriental rhythms, and the voices of All'Uso Antico and Fantasie Popolari, who will bring the power of ethno/folk music back to life.

The Caribbean heart of Skapizza will bring reggae and ska notes with a Mediterranean twist, while Il Tempio di Iside will enchant the audience with oriental dances and sounds. The giants of Varapodio, imposing figures from an ancient folk ritual, and the mask of Giangurgolo, symbol of the lively and ironic soul of Calabria, will also be present. Completing the show will be the dancers of Radici in Movimento, ready to blend traditional and modern steps in a flow of pure energy.
