From 13 December 2025 to 13 February 2026, Ellebi – Gallery and Art Residence in Cosenza presents Somnia Materiae, a group exhibition bringing together seven artists in an exploration of the relationship between matter and sign. The exhibition explores a visual dimension in which gesture, surface and construction form conceptual and dreamlike landscapes, transforming the gallery space into a place of passage.
The project features works that dialogue with the density of reality through incisions, stratifications, assemblages and rarefactions. The artistic research intertwines abstraction, figuration and material experimentation, offering a reflection on the way in which the image takes shape and becomes experience.
The exhibition is part of a programme that also involves the Calabria Design Festival. On this occasion, Ellebi welcomes the sculptures of Monica Taverniti, architect and designer, who interprets space as a narrative organism. Her works are presented as small architectures capable of generating relationships, where colour and structure guide a sensory and emotional reading of the objects.
