Skanderbeku – Prindi i Arbëreshë

The historical commemoration dedicated to Giorgio Castriota Skanderbeg, the hero who marked the history of the Arbëreshë people, is back in Lungro. On Saturday 14 February 2028, the historic centre of the Calabrian village will come alive with the 8th edition of ‘Skanderbeku - Prindi i Arbëreshë’, an event that celebrates the identity and traditions of the Arbëreshë community through history, culture and re-enactment.

The appointment is at 3 p.m., with the departure of the procession from the Church of Santa Maria di Costantinopoli. Figures in period costumes will parade through the streets, while performances, traditional dances and re-enactments will bring to life the heroic deeds of Skanderbeg, symbol of freedom and resistance.
